WE NEED YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS: Please send your e-mail address to the Secretary (ccaasmfc@cs.com), it is cheaper to send the newsletter that way, plus you will get club notices and For Sale items faster. In addition, I have about 2 dozen e-mail addresses that are now undeliverable, if you used to get your newsletter via e-mail and do not now, please send in your new e-mail address.
Proposed Change to Constitution and Bylaws: Proposal submitted by Don Sloop for increasing the Club membership limit by 30. Procedure is being followed as prescribed in the Constitution and By-Laws, notice in the December and January Newsletter.
START OF UNAPPROVED MINUTES for the 12/12/05 Meeting:
Meeting convened at 7:00 pm, 19 members and 1 guest present. The November Minutes and Treasurers report were approved.
Unfinished and Old Business:
The proposed constitutional change in membership (see above) was discussed, there were no negative comments on it. There are 47 applicants thus far (see list later in newsletter).
The purchase of the 10 acres was discussed.
Use of Club Property: A question was brought up about members wanting to use the club property for private purposes, in case there are conflicts. It was decided the executive committee would make the final decision. We want club members to feel free to use the property for private shoots, but want to try to prevent conflicts with other uses.
New Business:
BGC member Bill Wetherill wants to hold Single Action Shooting Society (SASS) Cowboy Action Shooting safety and training courses at the Cub on Saturday, February 25. Contact Bill if you are interested: 395-1429. There will be 2 courses held:
1. Range Operations Basic Safety Course (ROI) (Level 1)
Rules, Safety, Terms, Commands, Attitude, Spirit of the Game
In Club House, 9am – 12:30pm
Cost: $10 (Need not be a SASS member)
2. Range Officer Training Course (ROII) (Level II)
Setting up and running matches, Practical application, etc.
In Club House and at Cowboy Shooting Range 1:00pm – 5:00 pm
Cost: $25 (Must have been a SASS member and have completed in CAS for at least 6 months, must have
completed ROI)
2006 Officers: The 2005 Officers were roped and hogtied into serving another year without discussion in an obviously rigged nomination process. As Mayor Daley of Chicago once said: “Vote early and vote often….”
President: John Scott
Vice President: Tom Morgan
Secretary: Dick Brame
Treasurer: Don Pelling
Meeting adjourned at 7:29 pm.
END OF UNAPPROVED MINUTES for the 12/12/05 Meeting
