WE NEED YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS: Please send your e-mail address to the Secretary (ccaasmfc@cs.com), it is cheaper to send the newsletter that way, plus you will get club notices and For Sale items faster. In addition, I have about 2 dozen e-mail addresses that are now undeliverable, if you used to get your newsletter via e-mail and do not now, please send in your new e-mail address.
START OF UNAPPROVED MINUTES for the 10/9/06 Meeting:
Meeting convened at 7:03 pm, 17 members, 4 probationary. The September Minutes and Treasurer’s report were approved.
Unfinished and Old Business: There was no old business discussed.
New Business: Options for improving the road into the club were discussed. Heavy rains cause the road to wash out because it is not properly graded or sloped, thus water runs down the road rather than off of it. Don Sloop had contacted a club member about grading the road and placing coquina or rock on it, the member agreed to use his equipment to repair the road at no cost to the club, we would pay for the cost of material. A motion was made and passed unanimously to allow the Executive Committee to decide the timing and material to repair the road once the contractor can break free.
Meeting adjourned at 7:47 pm.
END OF UNAPPROVED MINUTES for the 10/9/06 Meeting.
CLUB RESERVED ON NOVEMBER 16
Club Member Mark Cayton has requested the use of the club house and the skeet fields on Thursday, November 16 from 8:30 am until 3:00 pm. This is for a work related event. There are no scheduling conflicts for that day. Please make a note of this.
FROM THE LEGISLATIVE BENCH
The distribution of the newsletter which is dependent upon the scheduled BGC meeting date may be after the elections... after you have voted. There has been a wealth of candidate information available from the various pro-gun organizations... some conflicting. However, for the most part the information has been a welcomed guide, especially in some of the more obscure races for judge, etc. Most importantly is the fact that you voted your conscious and can be proud you have exercised the right to do so.
When the smoke clears we will know on the surface if the Second Amendment will be strengthened or diminished... a sad state of affairs when politics plays such an important role in our daily lives. Unrest assured if the liberal left and anti-gun ilk garners the majority (@^*#) we will have to batten down the hatches. No, better yet, go on a renewed offensive... it will take all we can muster!
Celebration or mourning... hopefully, the former. In either case we must not let our guard down. Take the opportunity to contact your representatives after the elections and inform or confirm your position... they must be made aware of what you expect of them... to hold them accountable for responsible government. A government that scorns the judiciary for legislating from the bench... a government that upholds the Constitution and Bill of Rights as they were written.
With the passion of a patriot,
Ron

BUCCANEER RANGE REGULATOR GAZETTE
October 1897
Headline: Watch Out For Circle Flies
High Noon Henry was in the middle of the 3 day drunk at the Bleeding Heart Saloon. He felt the need to relieve himself so he was staggering down the middle of Regulatorville Main Street looking for a suitable spot to do the deed. Sheriff Holliday was leaned back on his chair on the jailhouse porch reading the latest issue of Gunslinger Magazine.........As High Noon Henry staggered by, Sheriff Holliday peeked over the top of his magazine and wondered how to approach the situation.......His first thought was to just give Henry a good pistol whipping but remembering that Henry had just had a match win and also had a clean shoot at the same time the Sheriff decided the better part of valor may be to just give Henry a ticket for drunk and disorderly conduct........The Sheriff got between Henry and the saloon as Henry was on his way back......He produced his ticket book and informed Henry of the pending citation he was going to write......Just as the Sheriff started to write two big ole flies started buzzing around the Sheriffs head....The Sheriff took a swat or two at them but the flies would not go away........Henry said, "Hey Sheriff, them circle flies giving you a hard time??.......The Sheriff looked at Henry and said "I've not heard of circle flies before"....Henry replied, "Yea, you see a lot of them circling around a horses ass".........The Sheriff glared at Henry and asked, "You calling me a horses ass????".......Henry said, "No, not me, but you sure are having a hard time fooling them flies"........ At that point the Sheriff went back to his first plan and gave Henry a good ole pistol whipping............
